A Series in Psalm 23 – God our Protector | November 7, 2021 | Chad Friestad
When you’re in your darkest season of life or facing your greatest fear, is it enough to know that God is with you? Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” In Psalm 23, David expresses his confidence in the Lord even as he walked through the “darkest valley.” Why? He had assurance that God was with him. As we continue our study in Psalm 23 this Sunday, we’ll be strengthened in this very fact: whatever the darkest valley is or has been in your life – or whatever it will be in the future – when God is with you in it, it will make all the difference in the world.
Psalm 23:4 ESV
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
