A Transformed Community – Titus 1 | September 12, 2021 | Pastor Chad
The Apostle Paul wrote this short letter to a church leader on the island of Crete – a place known for corruption, sin, and evil practices. Many new Christians on the island had succumbed to the trap of finding temporary pleasure and false hope in the vain pursuits of earthly life. But God brings them a message of truth! This letter reveals how the good news of Jesus can transform a life and community from the inside out. In this message we discover three change agents that bring about true spiritual transformation.
Titus 1:1-4 ESV
Greeting
1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began 3 and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Savior;
4 To Titus, my true child in a common faith:
Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
