For as long as the world has existed, people have asked this question: “How can a good God allow bad things to happen?” We try to use logic to make sense of the pain and evil in our world. The answers don’t come easy. Circumstances often don’t make sense. But God doesn’t ask us to make sense of our problems. He simply asks us to trust Him. Paul Lenderman shares a message entitled, “God is Good, Even When Life is Bad.” As we dwell on the truth of God’s goodness, our trust will find an anchor in the unchanging character of God.

Paul Lenderman has become a dear friend and ministry partner of Good Shepherd. Paul, a certified grief counselor, facilitates our monthly grief support group. He is the founder of Mark Ministries, a ministry dedicated to providing pastoral care, spiritual counseling, and grief support across Ventura County. Paul is also a local hospice chaplain and a music therapist. Paul’s passion is to help provide comfort, peace, and hope to those experiencing grief and loss, including a loved one, property, career/job, personal health, or a relationship.
