Introducing our DIY Vacation Bible School

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Camarillo 2020 VBS

Join us for a DIY Vacation Bible School this Summer.

This year’s Vacation Bible School will be like no other our church has experienced! The excitement is rising and the snowing is falling as we set out on a quest for the King’s Armor! Are you ready to feel the frosty weather of North Castle and untangle riddles written in ancient dragon language? As we embark on our quest, we will learn how to Armor up with Truth, Justice, Peace, Faith, and Salvation from stories found in the King’s Book, the Bible! Grab your coat and gloves as we set out on our icy quest this August 3-7th!

Our Do-It-Yourself VBS program will be a fun, interactive, virtual experience you won’t want to miss! Each family will need to reserve their Free DIY VBS KIT by filling out our registration form.

Each Kit comes with crafts, game materials, Bible story extras, goody bags, and links to pre-recorded video content to complete your DIY VBS. Instructions on how to join our VBS director, Sarah Jagt, over live video throughout the week will also be included!

Theme: KNIGHTS OF NORTH CASTLE VBS 2020

Venture Into A Frozen Land In Search Of The King’s Mighty Armor

North Castle is hidden in a frozen land. The King’s valiant Knights are on a quest in search of the King’s Armor. But the armor isn’t what they think it is.

Cokesbury’s VBS 2020, Knights of North Castle: Quest for the King’s Armorinvites children to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power by exploring how we put on the armor of God. Kids will take on the role of brave Knights and begin their quest each session by opening the King’s Book.

They’ll explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of protective armor — the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation — at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters, and explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God.

Help kids take up the gauntlet this summer and accept the challenge to “armor up” and be strong by remaining with God.
